I came to Chicago Neck and Back Institute based on a referral from my HMO. I had spinal stenosis and degenerative disc disease. I had also seen a neurologist. I went to see my doctor and he suggested that maybe I should see a chiropractor which is how I first became a patient of Dr. Cicero's and staff. I was first evaluated, had x-rays, and an MRI. After Dr. Cicero obtained results from the test he informed me of what they wanted to do next; so I had heat treatments, electrical stimulation, and for a while I wore a small back brace, then exercise and finally traction for my spine. It was also discovered that there was a bulging disc pressing on a nerve root that went to the outer part of my right leg and Dr. Cicero was able to figure it out. To date I haven't seen anyone else except Dr. Cicero. I have referred others I know to Chicago Neck and Back Institute.
